APS verifies the authenticity of academic documents of Indian students before applying to German universities.

What is APS?

APS (Akademische Prüfstelle) is the Academic Evaluation Centre responsible for verifying the authenticity of academic documents submitted by Indian students applying to German universities.

The APS India office operates in cooperation with the German Embassy in New Delhi and ensures that university applications contain verified academic records.

Mandatory Requirement: Since 2022, APS certification is required for most Indian students applying to German universities. Without the APS certificate, applications through Uni-Assist or universities may not be processed.

  • Valid Indian passport (copy)
  • 10th standard certificate and marksheet
  • 12th standard certificate and marksheet
  • Bachelor transcripts and degree certificate (if applicable)
  • Semester-wise marksheets from university
  • Recent passport-size photograph
  • APS fee payment receipt (₹18,000)

The current APS processing fee is ₹18,000. Payment can be made online or via demand draft depending on the application method. The APS certificate remains valid for future university applications.

Visit the APS India portal and create an account with your personal details.

Upload Documents
Upload scanned copies of academic certificates, marksheets, and passport.

Pay Application Fee
Pay the APS processing fee of ₹18,000 through the approved payment method.

Verification Process
APS reviews and verifies your academic documents. In some cases, applicants may be contacted for additional verification.

Certificate Issued
Once verification is complete, APS issues the certificate which can be used for German university applications.

Use for University Applications
Submit the APS certificate along with your applications to German universities or through Uni-Assist.
